The Amathole Economic Development Agency (ASPIRE) continues to build and strengthen strategic partnerships with institutions of higher learning, traditional leaders, and civic organisations as part of its commitment to inclusive socio-economic development.

ASPIRE Executive Management and the team visited King Hintsa TVET College to deepen relations and explore collaborative opportunities. The engagement was enriched by the presence of Ms Xasa, former Minister of Sport and Recreation, and former minister of Tourism, now the founder of House Ubuntu Global Voices, who joined the discussions to identify areas of alignment and collaboration.

The visit included a tour of the Teko Farm, an initiative of King Hintsa TVET College, showcasing opportunities for agricultural innovation and community empowerment. ASPIRE, together with King Hintsa TVET College, also paid a courtesy visit to the House of Traditional Leaders of amaXhosa in Nqadu Village, Willowvale, reinforcing its commitment to working closely with traditional leadership structures to advance inclusive development.

These engagements form part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ASPIRE and its partners, ensuring that collaboration moves beyond dialogue into tangible action. The MOU provides a framework for joint initiatives in skills development, agricultural innovation, and community empowerment, while strengthening the role of traditional leadership in driving inclusive socio-economic transformation.

ASPIRE’s dedication to fostering meaningful partnerships highlights its vision of creating sustainable pathways for economic growth and social transformation across the Amathole region. By working collaboratively with academic institutions, traditional leaders, and civic organisations, ASPIRE remains committed to building bridges between stakeholders, ensuring that development initiatives are inclusive, impactful, and responsive to the needs of communities.
