ASPIRE and IMPACT AFRICA to host Community Knowledge-Sharing Sessions on Oil and Gas Exploration
The Amathole Economic Development Agency (ASPIRE), on behalf of IMPACT AFRICA, is proud to announce a series of Voluntary Knowledge Sharing Sessions focused on oil and gas exploration across the Amathole District. These sessions aim to empower local communities through transparent dialogue, accessible information, and inclusive engagement on oil and gas developments.
The initiative reflects ASPIRE’s commitment to ethical governance, stakeholder empowerment, and sustainable development by creating a platform for open discussion. These sessions will address community concerns, share insights on exploration processes, and promote informed participation in regional economic opportunities.

ASPIRE CEO, Mr. Avuyile Xabadiya, will lead the sessions alongside technical experts from IMPACT AFRICA, ensuring that community voices are heard and respected. These engagements are voluntary, free of charge, and open to all residents, traditional leaders, youth representatives, and civil society stakeholders.
ASPIRE is one of the consultants appointed by IMPACT AFRICA, an international oil and gas exploration company, to facilitate its Voluntary Knowledge Sharing Sessions. As a development agency, ASPIRE regularly implements projects on behalf of external partners.
ASPIRE invites all community members to participate actively in shaping the future of energy development in the Eastern Cape.
