Hamburg Opportunities

The Hamburg Regeneration Strategy identifies the following key interventions, which are necessary for the successful regeneration and economic stimulation of Hamburg town:

• Consolidation and revitalisation of the town centre
• Revitalisation of the beach area
• Anchor Project: Hamburg Artists Retreat
• Upgrading of the Hamburg Caravan Park
• Tourism development (especially arts- and ecotourism)
• Intensification of farming activities and niche markets, such as organic crops and aquaculture
• Upgrade of R72 access road and internal road infrastructure
• Infrastructure upgrades through alternative technologies/renewable energy
