Opportunities for public and private investments are in the education node, Ibika, 4km from the town centre.
The opportunities here include the development of a student village, a development that will bring together the Walter Sisulu University and the Further Education & Training campus. This can occur through rehabilitation or conversion of factory areas for student accommodation, a mini-retail facility to support the day-to-day need of students and staff (e.g stationery shop, salon, pub, bakery etc.) and other youth development options.
